We have the best naturally grown geese you can get! You haven't lived until you have eaten a slow-raised, pastured, slow-roasted goose. Geese have been part of our farm noise almost since we started. We found out where the saying "silly goose" came from! Even better is their wonderful flavor. The eggs are a special treat too.
Our geese are truly free range, raised in the sun and fresh air of East Texas. They go wherever they wander in our new 4 acre enclosure protected by an 8' predator fence. We don't even put them up in a goose house at night any more.
We have tried out several varieties of geese to see which ones we like the best. The larger birds win out! We have decided to specialize in the rare Buff African Geese as our main breeding stock. They make good mamas and are a nice size for roasting, besides being rare. The geese are usually picked for processing about 9 months. We consider our animals better than organic!
We are still building breeding stock, so there won't be any geese available for a while. We didn't even get any babies to survive this year. The hawks are still a problem around here...
